Sir, if you’ll stop shouting
And pounding the table
I’m sure that your throat
Will feel less unstable
No Listerine rinse
Will assuage your malaise
If you are the type
Who spends all your days
Berating clinicians
And scientific testing;
Just have some hot tea
And try plain old resting.
Now please go away
And try not to stew –
I am sure you’ll feel better
And likewise, us too.

Hey there. Cool post. I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Thanks for your comment on my latest post. Have a fantastic week ahead.
hahhahaahhLOL I love the way you look at things.
Looks like the little inset photo shows the guy getting plowed on Listerine. It was like what, 30% alcohol back in those days?
When I was growing up and had a sore throat, I remember having to gargle with this stuff . Not Fun!
Lovely poem, Lidian.Maybe it was spouting poetry that caused the angry man to lose his voice in the first place?
you are funny.
I guess the Listerine would burn the sore throat right out of him. I remember this stuff–it was like grain alcohol but not as smooth.
